SURFING PLAYA GRANDE BEACH

A surfer's paradise. Playa Grande is one of Costa Rica's most famous surf beaches. It is a great place to watch the surfers, boogie board or simply enjoy the wide beautiful beach. And an even better place to learn to surf thanks to the team at Frijoles Locos. Private surf lessons are offered daily and include all equipment needed. Your instructor will meet you at your level whether beginning with the basics or teaching more advanced techniques. Playa Grande is a an easy, paved 40 minute drive from Casa Blanca. Erick can prepare a cooler for you if you would like to spend the day exploring the beach.

Local Tip: Grab a snack at the beach front taco stand or lunch/dinner at nearby neighborhood favorite Pots and Bowls. If driving, parking is 2000 colones or $4 cash.
